Board Recruitment – Spring 2024

Transparency International Canada is looking  for a number of individuals to join its board of directors, starting in June 2024, for a renewable three-year term.

Transparency International Canada is the leading anti-corruption organization in Canada. We are a member of the Transparency International movement, made up of more than 100 organizations worldwide.

Our vision is a transparent, participatory, and fair Canada in which government, politics, business, civil society, and the daily lives of people are free from corruption.

Our mission is to combat corruption and foster a culture of integrity in all sectors of Canadian society by conducting research, policy development, capacity-building, and advocacy.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors governs Transparency International Canada. The Board is responsible for overseeing the organization’s Executive Director, finances, and strategy. The Board helps Transparency International Canada efficiently manage and grow its resources to best achieve its mission.

There are four Board meetings a year, including an annual strategic retreat in Toronto, and members actively contribute to at least one of the Board committees (Management, Governance and Nominations, or Fundraising). Board members are expected to commit about 4-8 hours monthly over their tenure.

Transparency International Canada is recruiting candidates who bring complementary perspectives and experiences, including:

  • Québec residents

  • Francophones

  • Individuals with experience in scaling non-profit organizations

The deadline to apply is April 24, 2024. Interviews will be held shortly after. Successful candidates will then be recommended to the organization’s membership for approval at the Annual General Meeting on June 12, 2024.
